Happy Independence Day!

It's the Fourth of July, when we in the USA celebrate the anniversary of our independence from colonial rule.  As such, it's a national holiday, like Canada Day (July 1) or Cinco de Mayo.  Nevertheless, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful day.  If you live in a country whose citizens are free, rejoice in your freedom and resolve again to preserve it.  If you are not free, look around you to see what can be changed, look to your brothers and sisters who live in freedom, and resolve to change something...your own life, your government, your society, or at least your location.

Because it's a celebration, we will do a number of traditional things...
...Watch Fireworks

Grill Shrimp...
...and Hamburgers
...and sit around sipping cold rum drinks
...and have a great time with our family and friends!
By the way, if you can't get to a Real Life fireworks show, you can see some great ones in world.  My friend Marianne McCann will (I think) be doing her show at Livingtree this evening.  Also, there was a great party last year at The Wicked Wench tavern in Caledon, with many fireworks.  And this event came up while searching the SL website: Romance and Fireworks Under the Stars, noon to 6 pm SL.
